Well, after I thought about what I should take with me, how many pairs of shoes I can take with me and so on, I realised how small a suitcase really is. 

I always thought that I could take my whole wardrobe with me. 

But next to all the gifts I’m taking with me, there isn’t so much space left as I believed. 

But apart from this everything is going pretty good. 

I’m so excited to go now, to see my new High School, my new family and to start this new year in the USA.

I just can’t wait anymore. 

I wish I would already fly next week, even if there are all my friends and my family, which I will miss a lot! 

At the moment I just think that I won’t miss them too much, but I’m afraid that it won’t be like this. 

Everyone who had already done such a year, told me that he had missed a lot the parents and the friends and that there had always been some periods, when everything was going bad.

So I’m really anxious about this… 

Will I also have such periods in which I wish I could go back home? 

Well, I will see this pretty soon.
